Step 2: Find a convenient and affordable place to take those courses. On-line courses or community colleges are appropriate. See the list below for some possible options you may want to consider. Step 3: Check back with GW to make certain that the courses you have selected fulfill the requirement. Step 4: Register and pay for your course(s). Step 5: Have your official course transcript sent directly to GSEHD Admissions Office. Please note the following: You must receive at least a C in any coursework that you want to count for your general education requirements. You may not have more than three outstanding courses before beginning the program. **Note on testing required for DC teacher certification: The PRAXIS I exam is no longer required for admission into GW, however, it is required for DC certification. We recommend that you take this exam either prior to the start of the program or early on in the program. The PRAXIS II exam is also required for certification, but is taken later on during the program.
