TuitionNorwood Tuition approximately $3,450 The George Washington University Tuition: approximately $20,000 Job PlacementGW's graduates are sought throughout the region and nationally, and maintain an extremely low attrition rate after five years of only 11% (the national average is 46%). Norwood has been training teachers for over 20 years. Graduates of the internship program have been extremely successful and work in schools all over the country, both as teachers and administrators. Financial Aid*Please note that although our brochure lists a January 15th priority deadline for financial aid, this is not a strict deadline. Loan applications will be accepted through the spring. We do recommend that you get started early in the process as there is a substantial amount of paperwork involved. Students may apply for financial aid through GW’s financial aid office. Please bear in mind that because the program begins in summer you will need to apply for two separate years of financial aid. Therefore, for the cohort beginning in May 2010 you will need to fill out FAFSA and GW forms for the 2009/2010 financial aid year to cover the first summer and the 2010-2011 financial aid year forms to cover the remaining semesters. We recommend early and frequent contact with the financial aid office to make sure they have received all of your paperwork in a timely manner. They can be reached by phone at (202) 994-6620 or at http://gwired.gwu.edu/finaid. In addition to the per credit tuition charged by GW, there is an additional tuition charged by Norwood School for administration of the program. This is part of the total tuition, but not part of the information that the GW financial aid office has on file for you. You must therefore include our financial aid letter with the application you fill out for EACH financial aid year so they will have a copy of the letter in each of your files. Please click here for a copy of the 2009-10 financial aid letter to send to GW. Limited scholarship funds and employment opportunities may also be available through Norwood School. Please contact the Program Directors for more information.
